Safety & Security Protocols

I. PURPOSE

To establish comprehensive security protocols for event operations, ensuring the safety and integrity of all personnel, guests, and property. These procedures are designed to regulate access, deter potential threats, and maintain a secure environment throughout the duration of the event, including non-public operational periods.

II. SCOPE

This policy applies to all individuals accessing Lumen Field and the Lumen Field Event Center during the show period, including show staff, exhibitors, contractors, vendors, and guests.

III. PEDESTRIAN ACCESS PROTOCOL

All individuals entering the venue on any day of the show, including load-in/load-out and public event days, shall be subject to the following procedures:
  • Security Screening:
All pedestrians must pass through designated security screening checkpoints equipped with metal detectors.
  • Bag Inspection:
All bags, backpacks, and personal items are subject to inspection by security personnel prior to entry.
  • Credential Verification:
      o All personnel must visibly display approved credentials at all times within the venue (i.e. show management badge, exhibitor badge, stadium wristband, etc.)

IV. PROHIBITIED ITEMS

To maintain a safe and secure environment, the following items are prohibited from all public and operational areas of the venue unless explicitly approved by show management:
  • Firearms
  • Explosives or fireworks
  • Drones / Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
  • Alcohol or illegal drugs
  • Any item that could be used as a weapon or poses a safety risk

V. EXHIBITOR VEHICLE ACCESS PROTOCOL DURING MOVE-IN/ MOVE OUT

All vehicles entering the venue shall adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Vehicle Entry:
Authorized vehicles may enter through designated loading zones without undergoing search procedures.
  • Passenger Protocol:
Passengers are permitted to remain inside vehicles during entry. No screening is required for vehicle occupants unless they exit the vehicle and enter the venue on foot.
  • Access Restrictions:
Vehicle access is limited to those with prior authorization. Unauthorized vehicles will be denied entry.
