For 50 years National Fisherman has recognized individuals in the commercial marine industry who not only demonstrate excellence on the water, but who also serve as stewards of their communities, advocates for sustainable fisheries and champion America’s marine resources. The Highliner Awards are a cornerstone of Pacific Marine Expo, recognizing the legacy of pioneers who shaped the industry and celebrating today’s changemakers who are helping build a stronger future for the next generation.
From Alaska’s quota and quality pioneers to New England’s lobster advocates and Mid-Atlantic seafood foragers, this years winners embody a deep commitment to the people, places, and future of American fishing. Read each of their personal stories below.
We are thrilled to partner with SeaShare for a silent auction. All donations will go to SeaShare and their mission. More details to come on auction items!
SeaShare is the seafood industry’s response to hunger. Together with our partners: fishermen, processors, transportation and packaging companies, the banking sector and more, SeaShare provided 7.5 million servings of seafood to our neighbors in need in 2025. As hunger grows in the US, SeaShare continues to seek new partners and donors. For more information visit SeaShare.org
