Kelly Greenwood got an early start on the water sailing small vessels on Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. Her maritime career started on tall ships, then progressed to tour boats, ferries, and training vessels. She earned her captain’s license in 2018, and has been the Port Captain of Seattle Maritime Academy since 2023. The Puget Sound has been her home waters for the past decade. When not on the water, you can find her climbing Cascade granite, skiing the back country of Snoqualmie Pass, or relaxing with her cat, Beaufort.
