Daryl Lawes is the Senior Environment Manager at Seaspan, a Canadian based ship building, repair and marine transportation company with close to 4000 employees. Daryl has over 20 years’ experience in environmental management, most of this related to the marine industry, for both government and private sector. He has an Environmental Science Degree from Royal Roads University and Environmental Technology Diploma from Camosun College in Victoria. Currently as Seaspan’s Environment Manager, Daryl is responsible for all aspects of the companies environment performance, including regulatory compliance, decarbonisation, waste reduction, efficiency and sustainability programs throughout its three shipyards, tug and barge fleets, commercial ferries, oil transportation and vessel bunkering services.
