Jonathan Parrott

Jonathan Parrot joined B.F. Jensen and Associates in 1979, right out of college as their most junior naval architect. He’s worked through the years on a variety of fishing vessels, ranging from 22-ft seine skiffs to 300-ft factory trawlers. The first major project that Jonathan was Project Manager on was the Rebecca Irene – the first purpose-built factory trawler for the US Fleet since the construction of the Arctic Trawler pair in the 60’s. In the mid 90’s, he started designing ASD tugboats for various clients, and developed several series of tugs that are still being built today.  Jonathan has held most of the positions at Jensen and became Senior Naval Architect when Crowley purchased Jensen in 2008. Currently, Jonathan still holds that position, although he has semi-retired.
