Sarah Schumann fishes in Rhode Island and Alaska and is the coordinator of the Fishery Friendly Climate Action Campaign, a grassroots initiative that provides fishermen, fisheries associations, and seafood businesses with tools, networking, access, and knowledge to advocate for robust climate solutions that work for U.S. fisheries and not at their expense. Sarah will present results from a recently completed project called "Accelerating a Transition to a Low Carbon Fishing Fleet," which captured views of over a hundred fishermen in Alaska, the West Coast, and New England to map out opportunities where targeted deployment of public decarbonization dollars can spur meaningful gains in adoption of low-carbon energy technology on commercial fishing vessels.
