Jerry Dzugan, one of the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association’s (AMSEA) USCG approved FV Stability instructors, has worked over 38 years in fishing vessel safety training and policy. Jerry is a fishing vessel safety training curriculum specialist and conducts AMSEA’s USCG accepted Marine Safety Instructor-Training which supports a national network of fishing vessel safety instructors. Jerry worked for nine seasons in Alaska fisheries as a vessel owner and crewmember and has written a variety of marine safety publications and curriculum. He has a small fleet of vessels which he has operated for the past 46 years out of Sitka, AK.
