The Pacific Marine Expo Education Program brings together industry leaders for three days of FREE, high-value education focused on the issues that matter most to the maritime industry. Programming will take place on the Main Stage and in a new classroom setting designed to foster more intimate, interactive discussions.

NEW THIS YEAR: Three Tracks. More of What Matters to You. Commercial Fishing has always been at the heart of PME — and that’s not changing. This year, we’re expanding the education program to reflect the full scope of the maritime industry with three dedicated tracks: Commercial Fishing, Ocean Technology, and WorkBoat West.

Whether you’re a commercial fisherman, vessel operator, naval architect, or port authority professional, there’s a track built for you.

Education Tracks

Sessions cover a wide range of topics addressing the most pressing issues across the working waterfront today. Below are the 3 tracks that our sessions focus on.

Commercial Fishing

Regulations, fisheries updates, gear technology, workforce development, mariculture, and the business of fishing.

Ocean Technology

Emerging technologies reshaping the maritime industry — from wave and tidal energy to autonomous underwater systems, blue economy innovation, and sustainability.

WorkBoat West

Vessel design and construction, propulsion systems, port operations, and the industries driving Pacific Northwest maritime commerce.

Where it Happens

The Education Program takes place across two different platforms:

Main Stage

Larger-format sessions featuring industry leaders, big-picture topics, and conversations shaping the future of the industry.

Classroom

Smaller, more focused sessions designed for practical takeaways, deeper discussion, and direct interaction with speakers.
