Samantha Case

Samantha Case is a maritime safety researcher at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Since starting her career with NIOSH in 2014, she has focused on studying risk factors for injuries, fatalities, and vessel losses in the fishing industry. Her research interests also include human factors and safety management in commercial fishing and marine transportation. She is a Certified Safety Professional, holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and is a PhD Candidate in Safety Sciences with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
