David Chaffin has been a Special Agent with the Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS) in Anchorage, Alaska since 2015. S/A Chaffin previously served as a Criminal Investigator, State Trooper, and Sergeant with the Alaska Department of Public Safety (AKDPS), conducting investigations and working in communities throughout the entirety of Alaska. In such capacities, Chaffin has served as a lead and supervisory investigator in cases involving all manner of crime.
