Antonio Arena is a commercial fisherman of 20 years, 17 of which have been spent fishing salmon in Bristol Bay, Alaska, where he is based. He has also served as a Charter Captain in the U.S. Virgin Islands for 13 years. 

Antonio has spent the last 3 years working with the Fishery Friendly Climate Action Campaign, a community-led initiative focused on bringing commercial fishermen to the table to address implications from climate change, and ocean-based climate solutions. He has worked closely with the Campaign to inform guidance memos on fishery-sensitive marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). mCDR is an emerging ocean-based technology that seeks to reduce the effects of climate change on the ocean.
