Biography

Samantha Case is an epidemiologist for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Western States Division (WSD). She began her career with NIOSH’s Commercial Fishing Safety Research and Design Program in 2014. Her research is focused on improving safety among fishermen, including conducting surveillance of fatalities and vessel disasters in the U.S. fishing industry. Sam received her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2015.
