Biography

Dr. Noelle Yochum leads the Conservation Engineering group at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Seattle, WA. Over the past 15 years, she has conducted cooperative research with a variety of fisheries, including: AK and OR bottom trawl, OR Dungeness crab, CA groundfish, Atlantic sea scallop dredge, and Mexican gill net fisheries. In her current position, she works collaboratively with industry to find innovative ways to evaluate and mitigate bycatch and bycatch mortality in Alaska fisheries.
