Biography

Lindsay Layland is the Deputy Director for United Tribes of Bristol Bay, a tribal government consortium working to protect the Yup'ik, Alutiiq, and Dena'Ina ways of life in Southwest Alaska from large-scale, hard rock mining like the Pebble Project. Originally from Dilingham, Lindsay is a life-long commercial fishermen and subsistence user in Bristol Bay, and has participated in various fisheries across the state of Alaska including purse seining in Area M and Kodiak, long-lining in the Aleutians, and set-netting in Nushagak Bay.
