****State DoT to close southbound SR 99 Saturday and Sunday****

The Washington State Department of Transportation and its partner agencies, including the City of Seattle and the Port of Seattle, just announced that the southbound Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed this weekend to prepare for the future roadway coming out of the SR 99 tunnel. Roads in and around Downtown Seattle and CenturyLink Field are not affected.

Closure details

When: 9:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 – 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19

What: SR 99 southbound, from the south end of the Battery Street Tunnel to South Spokane Street. Drivers also will not be able to access southbound 99 from Western Avenue.

Details: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/Viaduct/

We do not expect this closure to impact Pacific Marine Expo.

  1. Traffic on Saturday and Sunday is much lighter in downtown, as the vast majority of the 250,000 downtown employees will not be working. There are also no Sounder or Seahawk games this weekend.

  1. Free shuttle buses will again operate between Fishermen’s Terminal (free parking), hotels and the CenturyLink Event Center. Please remind your customers and guests of the free shuttles.

  1. The 2018 PME has a sold-out exhibit floor and registration attendance is tracking ahead of 2017. It’s going to be an amazing show!

The Expo continues to be the premier trade show for the West Coast’s commercial fishing and maritime industry. With a thriving industry, this year, more than ever, it’s worth the trip and a must do.
